My name is Britt and I am the founder of Isle o' Misfit Toys. I am a big advocate for creativity and sustainability. Some of my most treasured childhood memories are crafting alongside my mom. We loved working on projects together, especially making hand-made dolls.  Those moments taught me that imagination could turn something ordinary into something completely unique; and that the time spent creating together was often more valuable than the finished project itself.

After recently losing my mother to cancer, those memories took on an entirely new meaning. During her illness she experienced many changes that come with cancer treatment, including losing her hair. As I began developing the Isle o' Misfit Toys, the idea of removing a doll's old or damaged hair and giving her a beautiful new wig became symbolic to me. It isn't simply a makeover. It's a transformation...a reminder that change does not take away what makes someone special.

Through hands-on workshops, Isle o' Misfit Toys gives dolls and toys a second life. Children and adults can reimagine their toys through handmade wigs, customized features, and more while learning the value of reuse, individuality, and self-expression.

My hope is that the business will eventually carry my mom's legacy even further. As Isle o' Misfit Toys grows, I hope to partner with organizations serving children and families affected by cancer and create special workshops or programs where creativity can provide joy, connection, and wonderment during a difficult time.
